If you don't want to commit to a full size sweater the pattern also includes a child size option.   Additionally there are other things you can make with a cross over such as fingerless mitts, hats and socks.  If you would just like to try your hand at the granny square, we will collect the squares to make blankets to donate to our Community Outreach Program.   

If you would like to participate, you can buy the pattern and check your gauge over the summer.  Please look at the sweaters that people already knit up in Ravelry.  There are so many interesting modifications.   I saw a clever vest and some in only 2 colors. The Jethro Sweater can be your inspiration!   And as always if you choose not to participate we hope you will still join us just for the company and conversation.
